How do I join the PMI NC Piedmont Triad Chapter?

Do I have to be a member of the PMI in order to be a member of the PMI NC Piedmont Triad Chapter?

Yes, you must be a member of PMI Global in order to be a member of the PMI NC Piedmont Triad Chapter.

How much does it cost to be a Piedmont Triad Chapter Member?

Currently, the annual fee to join the PMI NC Piedmont Triad Chapter is $25.00.

When do I need to renew my chapter membership?

Similar to PMI membership, chapter membership is good for one (1) year.  Members are responsible for maintaining their active membership status through the PMI Global Organization (www.pmi.org).

Can I be a member of more than one PMI local chapter?

Yes, you can be a member of more than one PMI local chapter but we are the only PMI local chapter located in the Piedmont Triad Region of North Carolina.

Chapter Meetings

Do I have to be a chapter member to attend a meeting/event?

No, you do not have to be a chapter member as our chapter meetings/events are open to everyone.

When are Chapter Meetings held?

Our monthly chapter meetings are generally held on the second Monday of each month and the location varies between Greensboro and Winston-Salem.

Do I need to register to attend a Chapter Meeting?

We strongly encourage registration as there is a $5 discount compared to the cost as a ‘walk-in’ at the door. 

As a PMI Credential Holder, do I receive PDU’s for attending the chapter meeting?

Yes. PDUs will be reported within 3-4 weeks of an event for all chapter members and any non-members that provide their PMI #.

Do I need any special experience, professional or personal, to attend a chapter meeting?

No, anyone with an interest in the field of project management is welcome to attend.

How many monthly chapter meetings are held each year?

Typically, ten (10) chapter meetings are held each year with one meeting being held per month in January through June and August through November.
