Join us!  All tools and all materials are provided, and you will have a terrific day and will learn a lot!   An email will be sent the morning before that will include the location.

In addition to registering on this website, you are required to register on Habitat for Humanity’s website.  Please follow the instructions below

• Create a User Name and Password and click Next
• On next screen, enter this Join Code:  PMI - then click Next
• Complete User Details form.  Read and agree to the waiver and release of liability 
• Check account info - then click NEXT to sign up for your event   
• Above today’s date, click All Events
• Select CONSTRUCTION
• Scroll to JUNE 5 - find PMI - click green SIGN UP button
• After you sign up you will immediately receive a confirmation email.  If you don’t, email debbie.cesta@habitatforsyth.org

NOTE: If you have already volunteered with Habitat for Humanity but don’t remember your username or password or both, contact debbie.cesta@habitatforsyth.org.  PLEASE DON’T SET UP A 2nd ACCOUNT. 

General Information for Habitat Construction

• Please report to the work site by 8:00 am; work begins at approximately 8:00 am and ends around 2:45pm. (Work times may vary due to task and/or weather)
• Due to OSHA regulations, youth aged 16 & 17 are permitted to work on site with a wavier completed by a parent or legal guardian.  There are restrictions - no power tools and feet cannot be more than 6' off the ground.
• You will be required to wear safety glasses and a hard hat - both will be provided.  If you have your own certified safety glasses, please bring them.
• If you wish to wear shorts, we ask all volunteers to wear mid-thigh shorts.  Please don't wear tank tops - a Tshirt is preferred.  
• NO OPEN TOE OR HEEL SHOES WILL BE ALLOWED! (ie: flipflops, sandals, etc).
• Water will be provided on site. PLEASE BRING A REFILLABLE WATER BOTTLE.
• Bring your lunch or you can run out to pick something up also.  Lunch break is at 11:30.

If you have concerns regarding the weather on the day you volunteer, please call the Habitat for Humanity Volunteer Voice Mailbox at 765-8854 ext. 333.  This number will be updated by 7:30am with a message if weather forces us to change the location or cancel the build that day.

COVID Protocols:

• You must wear a mask on our build sites.
• Your temperature will be taken upon arrival and you'll be asked to fill out a brief questionnaire.
• And, of course, if you are either not feeling well or know you've had close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID within the last 2 weeks, please don't come.
