Organizational agility is a shift to a focus on the customer where we become motivated on the goal of delivering valuable product and services to our customers.  In theory, this is common sense but in practice making this shift can be challenging.

As Organizations transform and morph, most of them will be looking to implement various agile processes and practices.  However, very few of these transformations actually address or focus on transforming the Project Management Office to support the organization’s transformation goals.  So, how do PM’s and PMO’s operationalize that shift? During this session, we will explore what it takes to transform a PMO into a Value Delivery Office (VDO). We will shift our thinking, processes, and responsibility from focusing on managing projects to enabling our organizations to deliver value to our customers.

This will be a fast paced session where participants will explore a variety of topics on transforming a PMO into a VDO.  Topics covered include:

  •          What is a Value Delivery Office?
  •          “Leaning out” Processes
  •          Measuring Value (metrics that matter)
  •          VDO Deliverables
